If you’ve been following along with our Marketing Moments series, we’ve talked about everything from crafting mission-driven messaging to segmenting audiences and planning smarter, not harder.

Now it’s time to talk platforms—and this week’s pick is a gem from one of my favorite go-to resources, Social Media Examiner. Michael Stelzner and Nicky Saunders break down how to use Instagram Threads to build authentic engagement and community—without burning out.

A few key takeaways:

  • Threads isn't about perfection - it's a space for conversation.

  • Your IG followers are already there. Why not meet them with value?

  • Text + visuals + polls + even voice notes = lots of low-barrier ways to show up.

  • And YES - you can promote thoughtfully there, too.

If you’ve felt like your content has to be polished and hyper-produced to work… Threads says otherwise. This platform could be your new favorite sandbox to test messaging, repurpose existing content, or simply connect without the pressure of being “Instagram-perfect.”

🎤 As Nicky Saunders puts it:

"People who are on it want to have a conversation."

So let’s make sure we’re listening and contributing in ways that reflect our values and voice.
