Marketing Moment (This Week's Tip!)

Over the past few weeks, we've talked a lot about knowing your mission, your audience, and crafting authentic messaging that moves people to action. Now, it's time to level up: Are you thinking inclusively about who you are serving?

This week, I'm excited to share a fantastic article from HubSpot, written by Laura M. Browning, featuring Sonia Thompson, founder of Inclusion & Marketing. Sonia breaks down the concept of inclusive marketing in a way that's actionable, not performative.

✅ Toss out your "checkbox" mindset.

✅ Build your marketing universe like Marvel built the MCU—thoughtfully and intentionally.

✅ Bring true main character energy to your audiences.

I loved this reminder that real inclusion isn't about throwing every identity into the picture—it’s about intentionally choosing who you are serving and designing experiences for them. (Remember how we've talked about customer-centered messaging and identifying core audiences in earlier Marketing Moments? This builds beautifully on that foundation!)

I'd love to hear: How are you thinking about inclusion in your current marketing plans? Share your thoughts in the comments! 👇
